I was invited to Copenhagen by CIFF to join the CIFF fair and to show how lovely Copenhagen is in general. The fair is way beyond any other fair and filled with so many nice brands, both new (to me) and known ones showcasing the newest collections. I love to be able to touch the products first hand, and to see everything up close. CIFF had this amazing VIP lounge with hand brewed coffee, organic juices and homemade sandwiches in true Danish style. So getting propper food was not a problem. Meeting up with many new faces and people I´ve only spoken to trough mails was so fun and time flew by so fast. Soaking in a lot of inspiration and realizing there are so many brands out there who do beautiful things yet to discovered. There was a few shows during the days at the fair. Martin Asbjørn, Newline Halo (my personal favorite) and Han Kjøbenhavn all delivered really nice shows, some more conceptual than other. I love the Newline Halo collection, showing sportswear with military aspects to it and pieces that actually look good wearing for casual days in the streets as well. Even their printed logos are smart and discreet, as I´m not to happy about big flashy prints/logos. Also seeing a lot of interior and home products showed at the fair. I´m a sucker for those things and Tekla have been a favorite ever since I noticed them on Instagram. Their branding is on point and so is their bed linens in toned down pastels made of incredible fabrics. The first day at CIFF ended with the Holzweiler show which was great. I love the whole team at Holzweiler and this was the first collection presented with their new menswear designer. He did an amazing job and I wan´t everything. After the show we met for a lovely dinner and maybe one to many drinks ;) I wanted to show how nice Copenhagen is and not only the fair, so I headed to the Copenhagen Glypotek. An indoor garden with exotic plants and a true eye pleaser. This was my favorite and I spent hours here by myself before hitting the streets of Copenhagen for coffee and lunch. Visiting my friend Kjetil at Sur le chemin for more coffee and to see his cozy store with a careful selection of great brands. After chatting for some time I was invited to my friend Martins house for coffee. Well, you can´t have to much coffee, haha. This ended with us chatting about everything and all of a sudden, it was time for dinner. He invited me to stay for dinner with his family, and we kept chatting to the late hours. The best evening of my stay! I had such a good time at CIFF and met lot´s of new friends, can´t wait to come back next season.
