My girl and I finally got to the planning of our late summer vacation. As we´ve been to Spain and Europe in general for the last 6 summers, we wanted to find something new. I noticed the new direct flights from Oslo to Miami and at a fair price.
We were sold! Miami it was and we started checking out hotels. I´ve had my best hotel experience ever with Edition in London and found out they had a location on Miami Beach. When looking at the images from The Miami Beach Edition Hotel it was perfect, this place was like a paradise and everything we wanted for a relaxing vacation in sunny Miami.
After a nice flight with endless movies/drinks and no sleep we entered the humid heat of Miami. New energy and excitement built up and we got an uber to the hotel.
As we got out of the car the amazing service of Miami Beach Edition started, a warm welcome in the lobby that btw smells better than anywhere I´ve been (I want that scent for our home) and we finally got checked into our room.
A spacious room with a lovely view of the Miami skyline, and let´s not forget the amazing bed. They then came up with our luggage along with a bottle of champagne and our stay could not have gotten off to a better start.
This first day we walked around the hotel area and just tried to stay awake long enough to keep the jetlag in check and maybe ate a bit to much, if there is such a thing.
Waking up the next day wide awake at 07:00 am, we where ready for a lovely day by the pool. Like kids, we where the first people by the pool each day, haha.
Surrounded by a jungle of palm trees and two different pool areas we where just where we wanted to be and it was way better than the images we had seen online.
They even had a private beach just 5 meters from the hotel.
The continuing days was all about soaking in the sun, good food and drinks. We had everything we wanted at the hotel and spent most of the time here. We did go out in the afternoon/evenings to check out the different parts of the city and to get a feel of the culture. After so many tips from all of you out there we got to eat well at hidden gems and see cool parts of Miami we would not have found otherwise.
